VAB SELECTS ASKA SUPER COMMUTER AS SPEED PEDELEC OF THE YEAR
At the end of March, VAB announced the winners of the "Bike of the Year Awards 2023". And - in the Speed Pedelecs category, the ÅSKA Super Commuter, equipped with the C1.6 Pinion gearbox, was named the winner!

PINION´S GEARBOX AND GATES CARBON DRIVE BELT IN UCI REGULATIONS 2023 PERMITTED
Details of the Gamux Factory Racing Team were recently released - Pinion will also be supporting the Swiss team in 2023. The two riders - Mike Huter (Men - Pro U19) and Lino Lehmann (Men - Elite) - will compete in various international downhill world cup races riding the Gamux Sego, a Pinion-equipped bike featuring a belt drive from Gates Carbon Drive.

Wohooo! We have won! Already for the eighth time the MTB-News User Award 2023 was awarded and we are among the lucky winners!

On bike adventure through the Rockies – an experience from Canada
Guy Stuart is a Canadian and an enthusiastic adventure biker. On his custom-made Pinion bike - equipped with a C1.12 Pinion transmission - from the titanium forge RollingDale Cycle, he had covered around 10,000 kilometers by the end of last year.
The conditions in the Rocky Mountains could not have been more different, whether in terms of surface (stones, gravel, meadow, asphalt, ice, snow, etc.) or outside temperature.

From Porsche to Pinion
The idea for the Pinion gearbox was born in 2006 at Porsche’s transmission development centre in Weissach, Germany: a bicycle gear shifting system that works as intuitively, precisely, and wear-free as the manual gearbox of a sports car. Five years of development, numerous prototypes and countless hours of test bench trials followed until the first production-ready transmission crossed the Himalayan mountains in 2010…
the summer of 2023, Pinion presented an absolute world premiere: the Pinion E-Drive System with the Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU) at its heart. The Pinion MGU is the e-bike technology of the next generation, because it combines motor and gearbox into one unit. Already nine launch partners have installed Pinion’s motor-gearbox unit at launch.
Every Pinion transmission and drive is “Made in Germany” – development, design, engineering, series production, sales and service all take place at the company’s modern headquarters in Denkendorf near Stuttgart. The team comprises over 100 permanent employees.
